Fiona Ehn is a primarily self-taught NZ artist based in the Rodney district north of Auckland. She specialises in beautiful, unique mixed media artworks to create works with loads of texture, bold colours and injections of humour. Fiona enjoys creating pieces that draw on the uniqueness of life in Aotearoa and is constantly looking to the world around her for her inspiration. Living rurally, there is loads of this – the local bird and wildlife – and a neighbouring cow or too.

She also loves drawing people – capturing their expression – which has led her to explore collections of female characters – from whimsical girls to the style icons of earlier eras.

Fiona describes her style as contemporary, informal, feminine and a little quirky and she is forever exploring new methods to build texture and interest into her constantly evolving repertoire. Along with her work, comes a genuine hope that it brings a smile to your face.

Her work can be found in local community exhibitions, social media and on her website
