Born in 1956 in Auckland, New Zealand, Andi spent her youth in the Bay of Plenty before returning to Auckland to be one of the first graduates from Auckland University of Technology Graphics and Design.

For the next twenty-five years she worked as a freelance illustrator in the advertising industry.

In 1998 Andi and her family moved to Rarotonga in the Cook Islands, and this experience allowed her to concentrate on her fine art.

In 2003 Andi returned to New Zealand. She has painted and documented historical boats and more recently has been juxtaposing the house sparrow with kiwiana  iconic  logos and advertising  imagery  in  a more contemporary  style, painting directly onto distressed iron, timber  and recycled materials.

Andi regularly exhibits in Auckland after numerous exhibitions in the South Pacific.

Her Pacific-series work is held in several international collections and many of her vibrant paintings are held in international collections and hotel resorts.
